Why we built this

So your wedding day doesn't disappear into a drive you can't find.

Most couples spend a lot of money capturing their wedding — photographers, videographers, friends filming on phones. Then the files sit somewhere: a laptop, a hard drive, a USB passed between family. Life moves on. Until one day you want to watch it again.

That day came for me years after my own wedding. I went looking for the film we'd paid so much for. The computer that held it had died. The USB copies had been passed around, re-copied, moved between bags and drawers — and somewhere in all that transferring, they simply vanished. I still remember opening empty folders and realizing the day was gone from every device I owned.

A wedding film shouldn't live or die with whatever gadget happens to hold the file. It should be something you can pick up. Something that sits on a shelf, not in a folder you'll forget. Something you open with your hands — and the day plays.

That's why Memorytale exists. Not to sell you another app or another cloud login, but a hardcover you can hold: your film on a screen inside a book that lives on the shelf. Upload what you have — raw footage or a finished edit — and we take it from there. So the next time you want to relive the vows, the dance, the sound of that room laughing, you don't have to hunt for a drive. You just open the cover.

If you've ever felt that quiet panic of “where did we put the wedding video?” — this was built for you.
